Traduttore but not traditore

Technology

Our production process (and translation is but a result of such a process) has been honed over our company’s many years of professional activity, and currently consists of a comprehensive system that includes translation, revision and many stages of quality control.
A team of translation professionals handles your project, guaranteeing the fulfillment of all stated requirements and compliance with international standards ISO 9001:2009 and EN 15038:2006, which set quality requirements both for provided services in general and for translation in particular.
The first professional you will deal with is a project manager who will maintain contact with you, inform you about the status of your project, manage communication between translation groups and constantly monitor translation quality. You will collaborate with the same contact person throughout the whole translation process; this lets us offer all of our clients a personalized approach and promptly respond to all of your requirements and needs.
We use the cutting-edge translation management system Projetex to fully manage the entire translation process, which guarantees that all documentation is kept completely safe and in order.
Automated translation tools – so-called CAT tools – are extensively used in our translation process and provide a wide range of benefits. Regardless of how many teams are working or have worked on your project, translation memories enable translators to maintain consistent terminology and phrasing while translating large chunks of texts. Moreover, such an approach allows our clients to save money: if a text has already been translated (fully or partially), the translator will only need to make the necessary changes to the already existing translation without having to translate from scratch. To save money, machine translation tools may also be used, followed by careful post-editing.
A lot of CAT tools are currently used in the translation industry, and our specialists are familiar with most of them. Here are just a few of the programs we use:

  • SDL Trados Studio 2015 (SR1);
  • Google Translator Toolkit;
  • Translation Workspace XLIFF Editor (2.31.1);
  • Translation Workspace for Word (3.25);
  • Wordfast Pro (3.4.7);
  • SDL Passolo (2015);
  • SDLX (2007 SP3);
  • Idiom (9.0.1.60);
  • Alchemy Catalyst 11;
  • MemoQ (2015);
  • Star Transit NXT;
  • Microsoft Localization Studio (6.11);
  • Helium (6.1);
  • Novell Localisation Workbench;
  • Dejà Vu (X3, 9.0.698);
  • Across (v6.3)
  • and many others.

Besides the abovementioned tools, we do translations in the AutoCAD (2014, 19.1), CATIA V6, SOLIDWORKS and other environments.
And if you prefer an exclusive tool or software of your own design, our specialists can master it very quickly.
Finished translations undergo mandatory review with the aid of automated quality control tools that detect typos, help ensure consistency and conformity of terminology, and check many other linguistic aspects. This eliminates mistakes caused by human error. We have a wide range of program solutions at our disposal: ApSIC Xbench, QA Distiller, Verifika, FineQA, Acrolinx, ErrorSpy and others. Our in-house quality control standards require our specialists to use at least one automated tool for each project, in addition to “manual” quality control measures.
After that, in compliance with the requirements of EN 15038:2006 quality standard, translations are processed by a Reviser who checks the conformance of the target text with the source text and with all standing language rules, as defined by the latest editions of appropriate reference sources.  Then the revised translation undergoes another round of quality testing by means of automated tools: quality comes before everything else!
But no matter how advanced translation technologies are, the key role in language translation (as well as in any other language service) is played by people, and the overall quality of translated texts directly depends on the professionalism of translation staff.
Our company has a unique, long-term system of monitoring the professional skills of our staff. For many years now, we have been conducting a qualifying evaluation of our personnel every six months to ensure that all of our employees meet professional standards. The highly regarded LISA system of quality control is used for this purpose; it has been modified and adapted to our company’s specific professional needs.
We also arrange workshops and training sessions for our staff on a regular basis, and maintain in-house regulatory documentation (multilingual style guides, terminology databases, various standards and other reference materials).
All of these quality measures make it possible to offer our clients translation products of superb quality, free from errors and inaccuracies, and carried out in compliance with all industry norms and standards. We guarantee your satisfaction!
